Flickr™ is an online photo-sharing web site that is made up of many groups, including the Star-Spangled Banner Geotrail group. It is an easy way to upload and share images.

How to Submit Your Photos using Flickr™

1) Navigate to www.flickr.com

2) Log on in the upper right hand corner using your Yahoo!® ID  [i.e. the email address and password you use for Yahoo!® Mail]. If you do not have an Yahoo!® account, you can sign up for free. Simply click on the “Create Your Account” button and follow the instructions. (Please note: If your Flickr™ account is new, you’ll need to upload at least 5 photos before you’ll be able to see your images on Flickr™. After that minimum has been reached, it shouldn’t take more than a few days for your photos to appear in searches, groups, etc.)

3) Once you have logged onto Flickr™, upload the images you would like to submit. To do this, click on the “You” tab at the top of the screen, and then choose “upload photo” from the drop-down menu. Then choose your photos from the appropriate folder or location on your computer and click “upload photo.” Be sure to add a description to the image, so we know where it is & also add one of the photo contest tags.

4) Join The Star-Spangled Banner Geotrail Flickr™ group. Here is the address  http://www.flickr.com/groups/ssb_geotrail  When you reach the group, simply click on the “join link” in the center of the page
