Tip of the Week

Can you believe that 89 billion plastic bags are used in the U.S. each year. Wow! According to the EPA, only about 12 percent of plastic bags actually get recycled, with most ending up in landfills or polluting our streams and rivers. Looking for a place to recycle them can be a challenge though, but now there is good news - most grocery stores offer plastic bag recycling for customers. Even better, start bringing a reusable tote to the store and get rid of the plastic altogether. Check out Earthday911.com for 40 other awesome green tips!
