Chesapeake Trips and Tips to launch Sept 26/27/28

Looking for a way to learn about fun and interesting activities throughout the Chesapeake region? How about signing up for the Friends’ new Weekend Planner? It offers an easy way to discover special events and programs at Gateway sites in 6 states and D.C. 

The Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network is a partnership system of national, state and local parks, wildlife refuges, museums, historic communities and water trails throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.  Managed by many different entities, and representing diverse facets of the Chesapeake Bay experience, each of the 166 Gateways tells a different part of the Bay story.  Together, as the Network, they provide a way for visitors and residents to experience and understand the Chesapeake as a whole – a key step in conserving the Bay.
